Privacy policy

NoKickAds doesn't collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no server of ours that it sends anything to.
The extension
What it keeps on your device
- Your two settings: whether the blocker is on, and whether tracker blocking is on. These are saved in your browser's extension storage.
- While a Kick tab is open, the name of the channel playing in it and whether its stream is ad-free, so the toolbar popup can show that. This is kept in session storage and deleted when you close the tab or the browser.
None of this leaves your browser.
Requests it makes
When you open a live channel on Kick, the extension asks Kick for that channel's stream link, at kick.com/api/v2/channels/<channel>/playback-url. That request goes from your browser to Kick only, the same way Kick's own pages talk to Kick. The extension never contacts us or any other company.
It also stops your browser from loading ad and tracking requests on Kick pages. That blocking happens inside your browser. The popup shows how many requests were blocked on the current tab, and nothing is recorded beyond that count.
Permissions, and what each one is for
| Permission | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Access to kick.com | Runs the stream fix and hides leftover ad slots on Kick pages. The extension doesn't run on any other site. |
| Block content | Blocks ad and tracking requests made by Kick pages. These rules only apply to Kick. |
| Storage | Saves your two settings and each Kick tab's stream status, as described above. |
| Scripting | Adds the style rules that hide leftover ad slots on Kick pages. |
| Active tab | Lets the popup show how many requests were blocked on the tab you're looking at. |
This website
- The site itself sets no cookies and has no analytics and no ads.
- The site counts how many times the extension has been downloaded from it, to show that number on the home page. It keeps only the running total, nothing about who downloaded.
- It remembers which browser you picked in the install steps, in your browser's local storage. That stays on your device.
- The home page shows one of the streams Kick is featuring, in Kick's own embedded player. To do that, your browser asks Kick for its list of featured streams (without sending any Kick cookies) and then loads the player from Kick. Both requests go straight to Kick, so Kick receives your IP address and browser details, and Kick's privacy policy applies to them.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
- The site is hosted on Railway, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and the page requested, to run and protect the service. See Railway's privacy policy.
